New students in the Master of Energy Change program are now eligible for the $5,000 Union Fenosa Wind Australia Award.

Union Fenosa Wind Australia is the Australian renewable development arm of Gas Natural Fenosa, a large multinational utility based in Spain. It has a portfolio of wind projects under development totaling over 1,000 MW’s across NSW and Victoria. Read More

COMPLETION OF GEO-TECHNICAL ASSESSMENTS

UFWA is pleased to advise that the geotechnical investigation works at the Berrybank wind farm project proposal were completed on Friday 3 May 2013. Our consultants GHD Engineering completed their investigations according to our revised timetable, which was delayed from October to March following consultation with our stakeholder landowners (to minimize impact on their cropping activity in early 2013). The results of this testing and survey work will be used to commence the Detailed Design, and the Detailed Design will determine the final layout of the project.

Berrybank Development Pty Ltd (BDPL) is seeking nominations from local community members to represent the community on the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Engagement Committee (CEC).

The purpose of the CEC is to provide a forum for regular, open discussion between representatives of BDPL, the community, the Golden Plains and Corangamite councils, and other stakeholders about issues relating to the development of the wind farm, and to be a forum for ongoing communication with the community during the construction and operation phases of the wind farm.

Crookwell 2 Wind Farm Access Roads Construction Works

Crookwell Development Pty Ltd (CDPL) wishes to announce that the construction of the access roads associated with the Crookwell 2 wind farm will commence the week of 10th September.

Local contractor Divall’s Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage won the tender to build roadworks at the eastern, western and Woodhouselee road entrances to the wind farm site, and to upgrade the intersection of the Goulburn-Crookwell Road with Woodhouselee Road.

Union Fenosa Wind Australia announces continuing works at Crookwell 2 wind farm

Union Fenosa Wind Australia (UFWA) is pleased to announce that Crookwell Development Pty Limited, the owner and developer of the Crookwell 2 wind farm, will continue with construction of the works associated with the wind farm from late July.

Local contractor Divall’s Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage won a competitive tender to build roadworks at the eastern and western entrances to the wind farm site, and to upgrade the intersection of the Goulburn-Crookwell Road with Woodhouselee Road.

Union Fenosa Wind Australia announces the completion of Early Works construction at Ryan Corner and Hawkesdale wind farms

Union Fenosa Wind Australia is proud to announce that it has completed Early Works at the Ryan Corner and Hawkesdale sites. The works were completed on schedule and within budget, and we&#39re grateful for the assistance of GR Carr Construction (from Portland) and Davidsons Earthworks (from Koroit). Our site engineers, URS Australia, will now complete a final check of the sites to ensure they have been left in a tidy condition.
